New Dow Polymer Enables Reduction in TiO2 Content

Dow Chemical says it has developed a pre-composite polymer technology that enables paint formulators to use up to 20% less titanium dioxide (TiO2) in their paints while improving quality. Commercial application of the technology, marketed under the trade name Evoque, will initially target the water-borne acrylic architectural house paints market. Dow expects the technology to be available by 2012.
