Momentive Adds Quartz Capacity

Momentive Performance Materials says it will expand specialty quartz production capacity at its Geesthacht, Germany facility. The $14-million expansion will enable the company to meet increasing demand for high-purity specialty fused quartz crucibles, which are used by the photovoltaic and semiconductor industries.
