Melamine Found in U.S.-Made Animal Feed Ingredients

The FDA is alerting domestic feed makers to be “vigilant” in controlling quality in their supply chains and to monitor for any improper additives, after discovering that a U.S. additive producer was adding melamine to certain animal and fish feed ingredients to improve the binding properties of pelleted feed.
