Lord Launches Argentine Subsidiary

Lord Corp. (Cary, NC), an adhesives, sealants, and specialty chemicals maker, has opened a subsidiary focused in Buenos Aires. The company has been in Brazil for four decades, marketing adhesives primarily to the automotive sector. The company now sees opportunity in that sector in Argentina, as well as in the mining, pulp and paper, and oil and gas sectors. The Argentine subsidiary is expected to post up to 10% of Lord’s South American sales over the next four years, local news reports say.
