Renewable fuels and chemicals firm LanzaTech (Auckland, New Zealand) says it has bought a foreclosed Soperton, GA biomass gasification and thermochemical ethanol production complex at auction for $5.1 million, and plans to retrofit the site with its own microbial fermentation technology to produce biobased ethanol and chemicals.
