Koppers Forms China Tar JV

Koppers says it is entering into a majority-owned joint venture with Yizhou Group (Pizhou, China) to design and construct a tar distillation plant at Pizhou, Jiangsu Province, China. The 300,000-m.t./year tar distillation facility will be part of an integrated carbon production complex comprised of three plants, including downstream plants that produce needle coke and carbon black.
