Chemical Week Magazine :: Specialty Chemicals Kerry Group Acquires Cargill’s Global Flavors Business6:05 AM MST | December 9, 2011 | —REBECCA COONS Kerry Group (Tralee, Ireland) has acquired Cargill’s global flavors business for $230 million, a deal it says strengthens its capability to provide products serving the food and beverage markets, and expands its business in emerging markets. Cargill Flavor Systems operates in 22 countries, has production facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia, and employs about 700 workers. The business posts annual revenues of about $200 million, Kerry says. Cargill has made recent investments in the business, opening a R$20 million ($12.6 million) food and beverage...
