Kemira Paints Inks Two Deals

Kemira’s Tikkurila unit says its Alcro-Beckers paints business has agreed to sell its 50% stake in Scanspac, a Swedish filler producer, to Gypsum Activity of Saint-Gobain (Courbevoie, France). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Scanspac reported sales of €26 million ($35 million) last year, and says it is the leading filler producer in the Nordic region with production units at Glanshammar and Sala, Sweden.
