Kemira Agrees to Buy Brazilian Coagulants Producer

Kemira says its Kemira Water Solutions Brasil subsidiary has signed an agreement to acquire the two coagulants businesses of Dalquim Industria e Comercio (Lages, Brazil). The purchase price was not disclosed. Dalquim produces aluminum-based coagulants, which generate revenues of about €12 million/year ($15.5 million), Kemira says. Pouring in: Kemira expands in Brazil. Dalquim has production plants at Lages. Capacity was not disclosed. The company’s main customer base is the paper industry, and municipalities using coagulants for potable and wastewater...
