Imerys Boosts Kaolin Prices; Prepares to Close Coating-Grade Line in U.K.

Imerys (Paris) says that significant cost increases in chemicals, energy, fuel, logistics, and mining are behind its recent kaolin price hikes and surcharges for the paper industry. The company’s pigments and paper unit says it will boost global kaolin pigment prices, including calcined products, made in the U.S. and Brazil, by an average of 12%.
