Ferro Forms Rare Earth-Based Compound Joint Venture

Ferro Corp. has formed a joint venture with rare earth refiner Baotou Jin Meng Rare Earth (Baotou, China) to produce and sell cerium oxide-based polishing materials in China. Ferro will hold a majority interest in the jv, Ferro Jinmeng (Suzhou) Polishing Materials, and Baotou Jin Meng will provide access to rare earth compounds from its Baotou refining operations.
