Chemical Week Magazine :: Specialty Chemicals FMC Buys Pectin Maker5:34 AM MDT | August 31, 2012 FMC says it has agreed to acquire Pectine Italia (Milan), a manufacturer of pectin for the food ingredient market. The acquisition marks FMC’s entry into the pectin market, enhancing the company’s portfolio of hydrocolloid texturants and stabilizers. Pectine Italia has production facilities at Milazzo, on the island of Sicily, the company says. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2012.
