Evonik Expands R&D Capabilities

Evonik says it has begun construction of two R&D centers at its Essen, Germany headquarters focused on the paints and coatings and cosmetics industries. The company expects to invest €31 million ($17.5 million). The paints and coatings center is set to be completed in late 2012 and will focus on developing environmentally friendly additives and special binders.
