Evonik Expands Into Hydroxyl-Functionalized Polybutadiene

Evonik Industries will build a functionalized polybutadiene plant, allowing the company for the first time to offer hydroxyl-functionalized polybutadiene (HTBD) to its customers in the adhesives and sealants market. Evonik will build the plant at Marl, Germany, and it is slated to come onstream in late 2012. The company did not disclose the capacity or cost details.
