Europe Seeks to Streamline Biocidal Product Regulations

The European Commission has issued new rules on biocides that are expected to streamline and simplify the regulatory directive, called the biocidal product regulation (BPR). The new regulation becomes applicable on September 1, 2013 and makes authorization of biocidal products on the European Union (EU) market less onerous for producers and importers, the commission says.
