EFSA publishes new guidance on pesticides and aquatic organisms

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Parma, Italy) has issued revised guidance for assessing the risks posed by pesticides to aquatic organisms, the authority says. The guidance was developed by EFSA's panel on plant protection products and their residues; the panel had been asked to update the guidance to address regulatory and scientific developments that have occurred since it was originally produced by the European Commission, in 2002.
