Chemical Week Magazine :: Specialty Chemicals DuPont Licenses Mitsui Fungicide10:10 AM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff DuPont says it has completed supply agreements with Mitsui Chemicals (Tokyo) for the fungicide active ingredient Penthiopyrad. Terms were not disclosed. DuPont and Mitsui had previously signed a joint development agreement for new fungicides using Penthiopyrad, which controls a broad spectrum of diseases, such as Botrytis in fruits and vegetables and Septoria in cereals. Penthiopyrad is effective against a broad range of damaging plant diseases, some of which have developed resistance to fungicide chemistry classes, DuPont says. First sales are scheduled for...
