Cytec Teams Up with Research Institute in Photovoltaics Deal

Nanoelectronics research institute IMEC (Leuven, Belgium) says it will team up with Cytec Industries to jointly develop technology to enhance the stability and lifetime of organic photovoltaics. The alliance will run until March 2011. Financial terms were not disclosed. The research aims to improve organic solar cell stability by halting the phase segregation of conjugated polymers and fullerene acceptor molecules over time.
