Chemtura expanding bromine business to India

Chemtura, which purchased the bromine assets of Solaris ChemTech Industries (Gujarat, India) late last month, is aiming to expand its global bromine business despite difficult economic conditions. “We saw [the deal] as a way to source bromine from within the region,” says Chemtura CEO Craig Rogerson.
