Calgon Carbon’s L.A. water deal

Calgon Carbon has won a $12.4-million contract to supply its ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems to the Los Angeles Aqueduct Filtration Plant and the Los Angeles Reservoir, the company said on Wednesday. There will be 14 UV reactors, capable of disinfecting a total of 600 million gal of water per day, installed at the filtration plant.
