Calgon Carbon signs Canada deal

Calgon Carbon and Brenntag, the former’s distributor in Canada, have signed a contract to supply activated carbon to a large, undisclosed, Canadian electricity generator through 2015. The contract is expected to be worth about $25–30 million/year, Calgon Carbon says. Calgon Carbon and Brenntag already supplied an older activated carbon product to the utility, and the contract upgrades the utility to a newer product. The contract can be extended to 2017.
