CP Kelco expands pectin site

CP Kelco is investing 60 million Danish kroner ($10.7 million) to expand its pectin production site at Lille Skensved, Denmark. CP Kelco previously spent 15 million Danish kroner to ready the plant for expansion. The capacity of the plant, the world’s largest pectin-production site, has not been disclosed. The expansion is expected to be complete by mid-2014. CP Kelco produces pectin used in low-sugar jams, yogurt fruit preparation, and bakery glazes at the plant.
