Butamax begins isobutanol retrofit

Butamax Advanced Biofuels (Wilmington, DE), a biobased isobutanol joint venture equally owned by DuPont and BP; and Highwater Ethanol (Lamberton, MN) say that they have begun retrofitting Highwater’s Lamberton 50-million gal/year ethanol facility to isobutanol production using Butamax technology.
