Bayer to Shutter Resins Capacity

Bayer MaterialScience says it will cease production of polyester, polyurethane dispersion, and polyaspartic ester resins at the company’s New Martinsville, WV plant by the end of 2009 as part of a global restructuring. The products are used in the automotive, furniture, and construction industries. The 40 employees affected by the closure will be considered for other jobs within Bayer.
