BASF Sells Premix Unit

BASF says it is selling its animal nutrition premix business to Nutreco, an animal feed group (Amersfoort, the Netherlands). Financial terms were not disclosed. Premixes are vitamin and feed additive mixtures. The deal includes sites in China, Guatemala, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S. The deal includes BASF’s Frank Wright business, which supplies the pet food industry. BASF says 435 of its employees will transfer to Nutreco as part of the transaction. Nutreco says its premix sales will double to €400 million ($525 million)...
