BASF Invests $7.5 Million in Nanotech Firm

BASF says its BASF Venture Capital subsidiary has invested $7.5 million in technology company NanoH2O (El Segundo, CA). NanoH2O develops, produces, and sells reverse osmosis membranes for seawater desalination. The investment is part of a $40-million equity round co-led by BASF Venture Capital together with other investors, BASF says. NanoH2O will use the investment to expand its global business activities.
