Chemical Week Magazine :: Specialty Chemicals Altana Signs Pigments Deal2:00 PM MDT | October 14, 2011 Altana has agreed to acquire Avery Dennison’s metalure aluminum pigments business for an undisclosed sum. The deal includes a production plant at Avery’s Schererville, IN site, as well as technology and 40 employees. The acquired business will become a part of Altana’s Eckart pigments division, and the metalure pigments plant at Schererville will be managed by Eckart America. Eckart has been the global distributor of the pigments for more than 20 years. Eckart says it will use the pigments in the coatings, cosmetics, and graphic arts business...
