ECHA opens public consultation for glass fibers, E-glass fibers, and dicyclohexyl phthalate

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has opened a public consultation on the harmonized classification and labeling (CLH) for E-glass fibers, glass fibers, and dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP). The CLH report for DCHP was submitted by Sweden, which proposes classification of the substance for reproductive toxicity and skin sensitization. DCHP is a common plasticizer used in the production of nitrocellulose and polyvinyl chloride and in paper finishing and printing inks.
