Molycorp files claim against engineering firm

Molycorp (Greenwood Village, CO) has filed a claim in Colorado Federal District Court against M&K Chemical Engineering Consultants (M&K; Granite City, IL), because of a dispute over what Molycorp calls “defects in engineering services” at the company’s Mountain Pass, CA, rare earths mine. Financial details of the claim were not disclosed. The claim is “an attempt to recover a portion of the costs incurred by the company in rectifying defective engineering services” for which Molycorp holds M&K responsible, Molycorp says...
