Chemical Week Magazine :: Regulatory Zeon Proposes $5.3 Million Settlement in Kentucky Suit10:02 AM MDT | September 14, 2007 | Kara Sissell Zeon Chemicals (Louisville, KY) has reached a $5.3 million settlement with residents living near its facility in the Rubbertown area of Louisville, according to a report by the Louisville Courier-Journal. The suit claimed that the facility’s emissions were a public nuisance, which deprived plaintiffs “full use and enjoyment of their properties.” Zeon has agreed to pay up to $1,800 each to an estimated 1,000 residents who live within a half mile of the plant, the report says.
