Socma Says Area Source Emission Rules Could Hurt Small Producers

EPA’s proposed rules on area source emissions could impose “significant costs” on specialty batch chemical manufacturers, Socma says. In particular, a proposed rule that covers all hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), instead of just urban air pollutants, “appears likely to affect many more facilities than EPA anticipates,” Socma says.
