Socma Advocates Only Limited Changes to TSCA

Socma says that the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) needs to be modified but maintains that a complete overhaul would be “overly burdensome” to small- and mid-size companies. “While we fully recognize TSCA’s shortcomings, we urge critics to carefully examine how it could be improved and better implemented without disturbing the delicate balance between protection of human health and the environment and the sustainment of a vital industry and its customers,” says Socma president Joe Acker.
