San Francisco Drops BPA Limits from Toxic Toy Law

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has dropped restrictions on bisphenol A (BPA) from its “toxic toy” ban, and has made the amended law applicable to phthalates only. The law makes it illegal for manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to sell products containing certain levels of phthalates if they are intended for children under the age of 3.
