NRDC Sues EPA to Obtain Data on Bayer CropScience Insecticide

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC; Washington) has sued EPA to obtain scientific studies that were part of the agency’s 2003 conditional approval of Bayer CropScience’s insecticide clothianidin. NRDC says it wants proof that the pesticide is not linked to the widespread honeybee die-offs that researchers have monitored during the last several years.
