Missouri High Court to Hear Lead Paint Claim

Missouri’s Supreme Court has agreed to take up a public nuisance suit filed by the City of St. Louis against former lead-based paint manufacturers, including Millennium Holdings, PPG Industries, and Sherwin-Williams. At issue is whether the defendant companies can be held responsible for contamination and public health-related costs associated with lead-based paint on the city’s buildings when it is not known which companies supplied the paint applied to the buildings in question.
