Chemical Week Magazine :: Regulatory Minnesota And Chicago Ban BPA9:38 AM MDT | May 22, 2009 Minnesota has passed a ban on bisphenol A (BPA) in baby bottles, sippy cups, and food containers intended for use by children under the age of three. The Minnesota law prohibits manufacturers from selling children’s products containing BPA beginning next January and mandates that retailers remove affected products containing BPA from shelves by January 1, 2011. Separately, the Chicago City Council unanimously approved a ban on the sale of baby bottles and sippy cups that contain BPA. The ban is slated to take effect January 31...
