Lawmakers Seek Withdrawal of Workplace Exposure Rule

Lawmakers have asked Bush Administration officials to withdraw a proposed workplace exposure rule that they say the Labor Department is trying to secretly push through in the final days of the administration. The rule would alter the way federal officials assess potential health hazards that chemical plants, refineries, and other industrial sites may pose to the workers.
