Lawmakers Push for Expanded Inquiry into Butter Flavoring

Several Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives have asked federal worker safety authorities to examine potential dangers posed by cooking oils and sprays that contain diacetyl, a butter flavoring that has generated personal injury lawsuits from workers in the microwave popcorn packaging industry.
