Environmental Groups Urge Changes to TSCA

A coalition of environmental groups is urging the federal government to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) after a biomonitoring project conducted earlier this year found toxic chemicals in all 35 project participants. Each participant was tested for contamination by 20 toxic chemicals from three chemical families: phthalates, bisphenol A, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs).
