EU Proposes New Controls on Ozone-Depleting Substances

The European Commission has proposed revisions to the EU’s regulations for restricting ozone-depleting substances. The revisions would align the EU’s regulations with recent changes to international agreements, including the expedited phase-out of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) under the Montreal Protocol (CW, Sept. 26, 2007, p. 45).
