EU ETS: Repairs underway

The number of carbon dioxide emission permits to be auctioned within the European Union’s emissions trading scheme (EU ETS) will be reduced by 400 million during 2014. Germany’s platform on the European Energy Exchange will carry out its auction with a reduced number of permits this week, the German environment ministry says.
