Chemical Week Magazine :: Regulatory EPA Sued Over Noncompliance with GHG Emissions Ruling9:31 AM MDT | April 7, 2008 | Kara Sissell States and environmental groups have filed a lawsuit against EPA to force the agency to comply with a Supreme Court ruling that ordered EPA to examine whether regulations to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from automobiles are warranted. Petitioners, including more than a dozen states and several environmental groups, sued EPA in 2005 over the issue, and the high court ruled last year for the petitioners. The ruling found that EPA erred when it said it did not have the authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate GHGs from automobiles. Waxman: White House...
