EPA Sued Over Noncompliance with GHG Emissions Ruling

States and environmental groups have filed a lawsuit against EPA to force the agency to comply with a Supreme Court ruling that ordered EPA to examine whether regulations to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from automobiles are warranted. Petitioners, including more than a dozen states and several environmental groups, sued EPA in 2005 over the issue, and the high court ruled last year for the petitioners.
