EPA administrator Lisa Jackson says she has ordered changes to the process related to the agency’s Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS), rescinding a controversial policy change made by the prior administration. The database contains chemical properties and exposure data that EPA uses to set a wide range of public health and environmental policies, including cleanup standards for hazardous waste sites.
