EPA Excludes Certain Fuels from Hazwaste Requirements

EPA has finalized a rule that will exclude certain wastes from federal regulatory requirements governing the storage, transportation, and burning of hazardous waste. The changes to the “comparative fuel exclusion rule” will allow certain hazardous secondary materials, called emission comparable fuels (ECF), to be burned for energy recovery in industrial boilers.
