Congressional Investigators Fault EPA’s Methods for Library Closures

EPA’s decision to close some of its library services to meet budgetary goals was made without properly ensuring continued library services to staff and the public, according to a recent report by congressional investigators. A moratorium on changes to the library system should continue until EPA has assessed the effect on resource availability, says the Government Accountability Office (GAO; Washington), an investigative arm of the U.S. Congress.
