Congress Takes Up Patent Reform

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D., VT) and Senator Orrin Hatch (R., UT) introduced patent-reform legislation last week that would overhaul the U.S. patent system for the first time in 50 years. Representatives John Conyers (D., MI) and Lamar Smith (R., TX) introduced a similar bill in the House.
