Sanofi-Aventis to Build Pharma Plant in China

Sanofi-Aventis (Paris) says it will invest €31 million ($41 million) to build a facility at the Hangzhou Binjiang New Development Zone (Hangzhou, China), which will take on production from the company’s existing cardiovascular and anti-cancer products facility at Hangzhou. The plant is expected to be completed by 2012 and have the potential for further expansion and the creation of an export hub to other Asian countries.
