Chemical Week Magazine :: Pharmaceuticals & Fine Chemicals SNPE Sells U.S. Subsidiary; Eyes Peptides Sell Off11:52 AM MDT | August 2, 2007 | Alex Scott SNPE (Paris) says it has sold its U.S. fine chemicals subsidiary, Isochem (Lockport, NY), to private equity firm Buckingham Capital Partners (New York) for an undisclosed sum. SNPE says it decided to divest the U.S. business, which represents 10% of Isochem, to decrease group debt and enable the company to refocus on its European production sites. Separately, SNPE tells CW it “may divest” its peptides business. Further details were not disclosed. Buckingham has renamed the acquired business VanDeMark Chemical, which was its original name.
