Pfizer’s Plant Sale Fails in Ireland

Pfizer says a deal to sell its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) plant at Little Island, Ireland to an undisclosed buyer has fallen through. The group had previously stated that if the plant was not sold by the end of 2009, it would be closed. The plant has about 180 staff.
