Otsuka Chemical to Buy American Peptide

Otsuka Chemical Co. (Osaka) has agreed to acquire Ito Life Sciences, parent company of American Peptide (Sunnyvale, CA), from Itoham Foods (Nishinomiya, Japan), American Peptide says. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the deal is set to close on September 1. Otsuka Chemical develops industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and agchems.
